(More customer reviews)For drinking I have been getting purified water from vending machine in supermarket. Finally had enough and decided to get a filter/UV system for drinking from my well. After searching, this system seems to be the best choice. They give out all the detailed specs. The price is great for the quality. I also watch out for the cost of replacement filters and UV light bulb. If you go to their web site, they sell parts and the prices are so reasonable. On top of that, I have been getting fantastic responses from them to answer my questions. I have received the unit and can't wait to install it this weekend.

Designed for under-the-counter installation, the Model 300 purifies at a rate of 1.5 gallons per minute - fast enough to fill an 8 ounce drinking glass in less than six seconds. (More customer reviews)Bought this to use with my Costco purchased Watts Premier WP2-BVC.Note that these are the filters for the WP2-LCV system but are fully compatible with either system.I was looking for these filters because they are optimized (marketing?) for reduction of chemical contamination (as opposed to biological organisms - the focus of the BPV filters).Very good price (at least a third cheaper than other vendors I considered).I called Watts Premier customer service and they confirmed that these are the same as their sku 560030.

(More customer reviews)We have a well over a pasture and it gets contaminated.We discovered that some of our intestinal problems were related to Giardia and Chryptosporidia.Boiling and distilling water took a lot of time and energy - very costly.I didn't like the idea of whole house UV because you have to leave it on all the time.We don't have room for the chlorine drip tank system.This small, inexpensive, easy to install system in combination with some poly carb tanks has given us biologically safe water to drink without having to haul it from the store.Also store bought water come in plastic that has to be recycled and can be contaminated with bisphenol-a. We turn this system on only once or twice a week to fill up the drinking water containers.I learned that turning on/off the bulbs substracts 6hrs. from the bulb life. But if you only turn it on once of twice a week, you still extend the bulb life. This product has been a great solution for us.
