Combo COM1000 Bottled Water Dispensing System ~New Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This water system saved the day. We have an awesome Samsung Refrigerator with the water/ice in door and an extra icecube maker in bottom freezer. We live in the country and have a well. The plumbing in the house did not include any water pipes to the fridge area. We installed system in cabinet next to fridge - made one hole in side for hose and electric cord. So this water dispensing system was the perfect ticket - simple to install and ez to change bottles and wa la - ready to use cold water/ice !!

Product Description:
Combo Bottled Water Dispensing System Model COM1000The COMBO Model COM1000 Bottled Water Dispensing System is designed to pump water from commercially available 5 gallon water bottles. The system will deliver water under pressure to an individual drinking water faucet, the water inlet of a refrigerator to the icemaker and chilled drinking water tap, and to certain commercial coffee makers / tea brewers. It can also be used to supply water to certain Jupiter Water Ionizers. The heart of the system is the pump module that automatically adjusts the flow and pressure to fill an appliance or faucet and stops automatically. A single COMBO water dispenser can supply water to more than one appliance with an optional adapter (not included). The suction wand, when inserted into the 5-gallon water bottle, it will activate the float switch on the end of the wand and turn on the pump. This same float switch shuts off the system when the bottle is empty. The wand has a built in back-flow preventer valve that prevents water from flowing back into the bottle or spilling while changing bottles.

Sunterra 360106 10 Pack Bio-Balls for Pond Bio-Filters, Grey Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is a very rip off product. It costed $10 for 10 plastic balls size of a quarter.I would not recommend any shoppers to purchase this product.I went to [...] website and purchased a box of 250 bio-balls for less than 20 bucks.I now have more than bio balls that I needed for my fish pond.If I was happened to continue buying this rip off product, I would have spent more than $250 just to get my bio filtration bin filled up with bio balls. My advice is that STAY AWAY from this.

FloJet BW1000A Bottled Water Dispensing System Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I've been wondering for a while if someone made something like this, I really felt like having a separate unit for the bottled water with its own heater and refrigerator was wasteful.I was very happy to find this system after a bit of searching and ordered one right away.
The instructions recommend a sanitation process with some household bleach and a bucket of water, which I performed.Installation was very simple, as it basically consists of connecting the pump to your fridge, placing the dip tube in a bottle of water, and plugging in the pump.I got lucky in that the water tube built into my fridge was long enough to reach the pump where I wanted to install it, so I just plugged it into the pump.(The fridge tubing and the pump outlet were the same size.)If I'd had to use some of the tubing included with the pump that would have required a trip to the hardware store to get a connector to join the two.
Flojet recommends/requires that you remove any filter in your fridge, they say it will damage the pump if you have one.Not that you'd probably want to filter your bottled water anyway.Conveniently when I removed the filter from my fridge it bypassed itself automatically and just let the water go through. The instructions say that you might be able to get a blank filter from your fridge manufacturer if that's not the case with your fridge. You could test this in advance, just pull the filter from your fridge and see if you can still dispense water.
The dip tube is sized for 5 gallon bottles, we have 3 gallon bottles delivered so the tube is a bit longer than we need and sticks out of the top of the bottle a ways. There's unfortunately no way to shorten it, as the top and bottom fittings are glued on.
And the pump is a bit loud.In our case it is sitting on the counter beside the fridge, I imagine if we could put it in a cabinet it wouldn't be so noticeable.During the day when the house is active it's not too bad, but at night when the house is quiet it seems rather loud.
Overall I'm quite happy. It's nice to have ice that tastes good and one less appliance taking up space and power in the kitchen.

Sunterra 337106 Prefilter Box for 500 Gallon Pond Capacity, Black Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This filter box is a pre-filter that draws water through two foam pads -- a coarse filter, then a fine one -- before it is drawn into the pump.My Sunterra pump includes another filter inside a snap-on housing, so the pond has three filters in all.The box filter is effective but clogs quickly. The top is held on by four screws. To clean the foam pads, you must disassemble it. Awkward. Some kind of snap-on top would be more convenient. Also, my Sunterra pump has a threaded outlet which is designed to be used with a Sunterra diverter valve . . . more than I needed or wanted!(I have a small pond.)A trip to a hardware store yielded a few plastic plumbing coupling that allow me to snap a hose onto the outlet with a quick-release coupler . . . very convenient.
I had drained the pond and refilled it before installing the Sunterra kit.It wasn't possible to drain it entirely because of the fish, however. The filter got clogged quickly even with new, clear water -- well, clearER than it was!Yesterday I drained the pond again, more thoroughly, and decided not to use the box prefilter but just the pump with its built-in filter.I can get it out by snapping off the pump housing. If it doesn't clog for a week or so, I'll try to add the prefilter again. If it does clog, I'll just go with the built-in filter.

Product Description:
A contained body of water is subject to conditions such as dirt, insects, algae and decomposed vegetation that affect the water clarity and health.A filtration system is needed to balance the ponds ecosystem. This filtration system must match both the power of the pump and the volume of the water garden. The Pre Filter Box is for use with 200 and 320 Gallon Per Hour Fountain Pumps to provide mechanical filtration for use in water accent applications. In Mechanical filtration, the water is pumped into the filter creating the necessary pressure to begin the mechanical filtration stage. There are two phases in the mechanical filtration stage, course and fine filtration. Each phase uses a specially designed foam filter to effectively remove all sizes of unwanted debris. The pre-filter cleans ponds up to 500 gallons and is recommended for use with Sunterra pump numbers 120016 and 137016.
