(More customer reviews)The filters last over a year by now and is still running. We are very happy with the purchase. Although the flow is slightly slower than a regular faucet filter system by PUR, it is not too bad depending on the water pressure and flow. Installation takes about a minute, not the easiest and is pretty manageable. Highly recommended!

(More customer reviews)Dunk this device into water and a number will appear on the display. The bigger the number, the less pure the water is.That is the use of this product, hence my saying it is not useful for any purpose.

As mentioned by another reviewer, this tester does NOT indicate water safety.

This tester is not a TDS meter. The number displayed has no particular relation to TDS (Total Dissolved Solids, parts per million). Nor is the unit able to be calibrated.As such it is not a TDS meter.To the manufacturer's credit, they don't claim that it is. (But another reviewer does).

My hope was that I could use this unit to determine when to change a RO membrane, even though I knew the reading was not correct TDS--thinking that the ratio between input and output water would be correct, even if the individual measurements weren't.Not so, as the relationship between the reading and TDS is not linear. I have this unit now HM Digital Pocket Size TDS Meter TDS-4 Water Quality Tester and it works great.

(More customer reviews)After several years of using pitcher based cartridges that are a fumble to work with, technically marginal in offering only minor purification and fairly costly in the long run, we decided to buy a more robust system. This unit is much better at removing nasties from the water - although our city water is reasonably pure to begin with. This under-sink system is more cost effective and far more convenient without the overflow bits of charcoal that tend to escape from more primitive filters. The installation took about 15 minutes ad was straightforward. The longest part of preparing however was finding one critical piece. The system ships with a T fixture to join with the under-sink cold water line that did not match our plumbing. Go to a plumbing supply company rather than the corner hardware store for this item if you need it. The flow is great. Having it on the sink means that we can more easily use this for all cooking as well as the quick refreshing drink.

(More customer reviews)This air gap faucet is relatively easy to install and setup. Works well with my RO filter system. The air gap noise is annoyingly loud while it's filling up the tank (you can hear it from the next room) which is everytime after you turn on the faucet and 6-8 hours if you start from filling up from an empty tank. It looks like I will only keep this as a temporary solution until I can find something else quieter.
