*they gave me a bad recommendation for a certain type of filter-no refund,
*aluminum oxide (a silver powdery substance) being pumped out of the water- found in the faucet with a Q-tip (Aluminum = Alzheimer's disease)
*Slime formed on inside of faucet at "changing time" - ???
*Black on cartridge after 2 weeks!!
When asking about what it is, they said copper, or lime!This is silver!! Only recommendation is Reverse Osmosis which is very acidic= disease!!
I live in the city, and have had no bad taste or odor, and when asked what they recommend, they sent a cartridge that eliminates bad taste and odor (mostly)- that is its purpose!
Culligan came and tested the water from it- NO dissolved solids were being filtered out!! This is a 3-stage filter!!
This is a new cartridge The one I ordered last year which put out a salty taste "I shouldn't have been drinking"!!No instructions!!! Then when it was time- a very questionable time (no one really knows when) a slime was forming on the inside of the faucet!!
When trying to get a refund for both of these new cartridges, "they have to have me send it back and have them test it!!"This is after 2 weeks of pulling teeth to get someone to talk to me about a refund!! Then they shuffle me between staff after another already approved the refund and after aa very lengthy conversation!A carbon block test is not going to fail, but recommending me the wrong product isn't enough for a refund unless it is still in its package unopened?!!
DO NOT order from Crystal Quest or any of its affiliates.
I have researched more since and found spring water is not fluoridated unless it says on the bottle!! -law and it is very close to neutral Ph!! 6.8 do not get a purified, or distilled or reverse osmosis- acidic! = diseaseI buy Chippewa, but there are many companies.

The pros are:
(1)Seems durable
(2)Fairly simple to install.
(3)Inexpensive, industry standard filters can be used.
(4)Three filter housings gives you the ability to use a variety of filters such as for removing minerals, removing fluoride, removing nitrates, etc.

The cons are:
(1) It comes with a saddle tap which punctures a copper line. This doesn't work on stainless steel or flexible lines. Other brands come with a screw-in Tee fitting. I needed to separately buy the tee (with shutoff) from another company for $8.
(2) Not possible to know if filter is in place inside the housing.
(3)I have run 10 gallons through the system and the filtered water tastes worse than the untreated water. If it doesn't get better I will swap out filters to see which one is the problem.

To install the spigot I had to drill through a porcelain-covered cast iron sink. While the internet is full of horror stories, this was not that difficult. I completed the hole in under 20 minutes using carbide-tipped masonry drill bits.

(More customer reviews)We had 3 different faucet mount water filters.The Pur and Dupont were poor for different and various reasons.Ultimately, I found the faucet mount Crystal Quest model which was much more economical and worked better as well.The problem with faucet mount filters is that they arebulky and in the way.Since we liked the Crystal Quest model, we ordered their under counter model (W12) that has a water dispenser using the water sprayer (useless) sink hole.I did have it installed by a plumber when we had some other work done.That was about 2 months ago.It has been trouble free.The water tastes better.The unit seems to be made of high quality materials.The sink mounted dispenser is great.We like this filter a lot.
