3M Filtrete 3US-AF01 Advanced Replacement Water Filter Review

(More customer reviews)This filter acts as a direct replacement for the Whirlpool WHCF-SUF Undersink Filter (WHCF-SR is the Whirlpool Filter Replacement Name).
Basically it does everything the original does, but costs about 1/3rd less than the official replacement (last time I bought one anyhow).As the directions say, make sure to have something to catch the extra water during the changeover (it loses a little bit of the extra in the filter, but doesn't spill much).Otherwise it's a very quick changeover.
One thing I noticed is that the first bit of water was a little more aerated than normal, but that resolved itself after a couple days.
No complaints.

Place pan under filter to collect any residual water during cartridge change-out. 2. Ensure that o-rings are present on the cartridge and are seated into grooves; moisten o-rings with water. DO NOT use any petroleum products to lubricate the o-rings. 4. Align tabs of new filter cartridge with existing filter head and insert new filter cartridge into head. Turn cartridge to the right (clockwise) until cartridge stops. 5. Flush new cartridge for 5 minutes.
